Our Shared Vision

Together, we are building a global network of political champions committed to tackling AMR through leadership, learning, and political action. We will ensure that AMR remains a visible and urgent political priority, integrated across wider policy and programme areas, and that our efforts reflect the needs of our communities and the realities of our health systems.

Why Action Needed

Without effective antimicrobial medicines — such as antibiotics, antifungals, and antiparasitics — treatable infections become deadly, and modern medicine, including cancer chemotherapy, is placed at serious risk. Antimicrobial resistance is rising fast, prolonging illness, driving up costs, and straining health systems. Beyond health, AMR undermines agriculture, erodes productivity, and threatens food security — making it both a public health emergency and an economic challenge.
